‘Yoga does not merely change our view of things, it changes the person who sees.’ Sri B.K.S. Iyengar
His first steps in yoga took place in the United Kingdom, where he discovered the essence of traditional yoga with Yogachariya Jnandev and Yogacharini Deepika at the Yoga Satsanga ashram in Wales.
After several years of personal practice and sharing yoga with amazing results, he felt the need to take the next step: to deepen his understanding of the ancient teachings of yoga and lay the foundations for moving in the right direction. He therefore travelled to Majorca to undertake a 200-hour multi-style yoga teacher training course (Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga) at Green Yoga International, with Atmarekha (Indrajit Dey) as his guru.
He continued his training at the root, focusing on Hatha Yoga. Along the way, he met Yogini Durga, who taught him more than just asanas, but also an exemplary philosophical discipline applied to everyday life with a 500-hour Hatha Yoga teacher training course in the mountains of Ardèche, France. As an advanced practitioner of Hatha Yoga, Yogini Durga teaches in a lineage inspired by Kundalini Yoga, Tantra Yoga and Yoga of Sound. This teaching follows the precepts of the greatest masters: such as Sri Ramana Maharshi, Swami Satyananda Saraswati, Swami Vidyanand, Patrick Torre and Shannon Gannon.
The course is enriched by classes in White Tantra and Mantra in Durgaji. Pranayama (80 hours), the science of vital energy, according to the Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga tradition of master Yogamaharishi Dr Swami Gitananda Giri.
Initiated into Kriya Yoga by David Giri, he practises ancient techniques originating in the Himalayas from the lineage of Babaji Maharaj, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswarjee, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Narayana Giri, Swami Hariharananda Giri and Swami Shankarananda Giri.
